Linea, the fastest-growing zkEVM on Ethereum, is steadily building a vibrant ecosystem around the core of a network: web3 communities. Linea has been cultivating a growing cohort of NFT builders, aiming to accelerate engagement with Linea’s core community.

This is all part of Linea’s progressive journey from testnet to decentralization. As we prioritize security, scalability, and decentralization within the web3 ecosystem, we increasingly recognize the need for a dynamic network where users become part of diverse communities.

Enter Culture SZN, Linea’s inaugural ecosystem journey focused on communities and NFTs. This new season will connect collectors and creators while spotlighting all the communities proliferating on Linea.

Joining Culture SZN is simple. Users are invited to mint NFTs and vote for their favorite communities. Minting is free, with the only cost being gas.  All platform fees from our partners are waved. The true focus is for users to get the alpha on the initiatives arising across the Linea ecosystem and enjoy taking part in them.

For collectors, the Culture SZN guides users through minting an NFT on MetaMask Portfolio and all the different NFT minting platforms available in the Linea Ecosystem. For creators and community managers, Linea simplifies NFT creation, facilitating direct minting into MetaMask Portfolio via Phosphor, a no-code toolkit for creators. Additionally, Culture SZN will be made possible through minting and marketplace partners Element, NFTs2ME, Mintpad, ClutchAI, Phosphor, and omnisea. As always, Linea is committed to Proof of Humanity (PoH) measures to verify that users participating in the journey and collecting LXP are human.

Linea Culture SZN spans five weeks and consists of four primary waves and one final extension wave. Each main wave lasts one week and features six creators, ending with a vote for the most popular mint from that wave. The winning project will receive the honorific title of “Linea Guild.” On the fifth week, a final wave will open voting for creators from throughout Culture SZN and elect a fifth Linea Guild.

Culture SZN runs for one month, from July 1st to August 1st. Daily mints will last for 24 hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:59 a.m. ET.

Here’s a breakdown of everything you need to know to navigate and vote in Culture SZN.

Culture SZN Lexicon

• Linea Culture SZN: A campaign of free mints for users to discover creative communities on Linea and collect LXP.

• Wave: A phase of Culture SZN that lasts for one week.

• Drop: The daily release of an NFT and its creator’s story. There are six drops per wave, with the exception of wave five.

• Linea Guild: A special community on Linea that has won the popular vote at the end of a wave.

• Voting Power: Your Voting Power shows how much your vote is worth based on your previous participation in LXP-incentivised campaigns.

How A Drop Works

Meet a new creator every day. Show the love, mint your favorites, join their community, and maybe you’ll be part of a Linea Guild! Here’s the sequence of a drop:

1. Linea posts a drop, elevating the creator’s vision and product story. There are six drops in waves 1-4.

2. Mints go live for 24 hours for each drop.

3. User goes to Layer3 to participate in the initiative and access the minting page from Layer3.

4. User mints an NFT, successfully joins the community, and gains voting power. Proof of Humanity (PoH) is required for voting but not for minting. However, users must complete PoH to collect LXP.

Waves 1-4: Vote For Your Favorite NFTs

Each wave lasts one week and consists of six drops. Voting opens on the seventh day. Remember, every vote counts! Here’s the breakdown of a wave:

1. The six drops occur with 24-hour participation windows per drop. That’s six total days.

2. Voting opens on the seventh day.

• Users with PoH can vote for their favorite drop from that wave and collect LXP for voting.

• Users must mint one NFT from the respective week to vote.

• Each user can vote once, and the weight of the vote depends on LXP holding.

• The voting period for each wave lasts four days.

1. @LineaBuild will honor the winning creator and announce that the community will henceforth be recognized as a “Linea Guild”!

Wave 5: Special Voting Period

This is a final chance to vote for your favorite NFT from the entire Culture SZN.

On week five, Lineans will elect a fifth Linea Guild in a final four-day voting period. To participate in this last wave, users must have minted at least one NFT from the entire Culture SZN and have a valid PoH. Users will vote for their favorite artists from across the whole Culture SZN.

The full lineup includes OctoMos, Efrogs, Foxy, Yooldo, Linus, Toad the Great, SendingMe, Crazy Gang, Push, Wizards of Linea, Knights Of Linea, Satoshi Universe, Frog Wars, ACG, AscendTheEnd, Townstory, Danielle Zosavac, Demmortal, Coop Records, Borja Moskv, Stonez (Forbidden Fruit), Ty Luna (Forbidden Fruit), JT (Forbidden Fruit), and Adélaïde Laurent-Bellue.

At the end of Culture SZN, the Linea ecosystem will have evolved to have many new community-centric projects and five influential Linea Guilds.
