We are celebrating being able to spend your crypto on your terms. The challenge runs until December 25th for users across the United States (NY and VT are not eligible at this time), European Union, UK, Switzerland, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.

MetaMask Card on Linea makes each purchase a little more fun and empowering this year because it’s a crypto card that functions just like a debit card. With MetaMask Card, any retailer that accepts Mastercard now accepts crypto, whether they know it or not. The card utilizes Mastercard's global merchant network, combined with the security of MetaMask and the efficiency of Linea. This means card holders with USDC, USDT or WETH on Linea (USDC only in the United States) can purchase gifts and anything else using the crypto in their MetaMask wallet, maintaining control over their funds until the exact moment of payment.

• Showcase Your Experience: Capture an image or video (videos are preferred and more favorably weighted in our deliberations to choose winners) that shows you using MetaMask Card in action—like tapping your phone on the payment terminal, completing a purchase online, and/or showcasing the item(s) you bought or will buy.

• Highlight the Value: In your creation, demonstrate how MetaMask Card enhances your payment experience, be it through ease of spending your onchain earnings, protecting yourself from inflation, security features, or other unique benefits you value.

• Share on Social Media: Post your content on X with the hashtag #CryptoHolidayChallenge.

• Win Prizes: Each week, the creators of the top 100 pieces of content—selected based on creativity, quality and engagement —will receive 200 USDC and $200 in $BXX.

To ensure fair participation, card holders don’t necessarily need to have completed a purchase to participate. The only requirement is to have obtained the card and completed the setup process. Card holders who have yet to make a purchase can therefore participate by posting a video or image sharing what gift you would like to purchase using MetaMask Card and explaining how MetaMask Card will impact your life.

1. What is the MetaMask Card Holiday Shopping Challenge? The challenge is a three-week event where MetaMask Card holders share videos or images of their holiday shopping experiences using MetaMask Card, or post content sharing what you intend to buy using the MetaMask Card. In both cases, card holders should showcase why and how using the card has or will upgrade your life. Participants have the chance to win $200 in USDC from a weekly prize pool and get their purchases reimbursed or prepaid.

2. Who can participate in the challenge? The challenge is open to MetaMask Card holders in the US, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Europe, the UK and Switzerland, with more regions launching soon.

3. What are the prizes? Every week, the top 100 submissions will get a prize of $200 per user, meant to either reimburse or prepay purchases made with MetaMask Card.

4. How are winners selected? Winners are selected based on: - Creativity: Originality and uniqueness of your content. - Engagement: Quality of engagement with your post, as well as the number of likes, shares and replies/comments. - Value: How you showcase the value of MetaMask Card. 9. How do I fund my MetaMask Card? MetaMask Card uses the Linea network to enable near instantaneous transactions. Before using your MetaMask Card, be sure you have bridged and approved USDC, USDT or WETH on Linea. Only USDC is eligible for the contest in the US. 10. In which languages can I submit my content? We accept submissions in any language.

11. How will I receive my prize if I win? Winners will be announced on MetaMask and Linea social channels. We will ask winners to register on https://guild.xyz/linea with the wallet they connected to Metamask Card and also connect their Twitter/X account. Guild will then verify that users have completed all Metamask Card setup steps. Once card holders are verified, prizes will be airdropped in USDC to your MetaMask Card wallet address. Prizes will be distributed within seven days after winner announcements.

12. Are there any transaction fees associated with receiving the prize? No, MetaMask will cover any transaction fees for sending those prizes.
