Welcome to the seventh week of the Linea Voyage. In these past six weeks, we’ve experienced nothing but immense encouragement as a result of your enthusiastic participation in the Voyage. Your support in terms of performing all the Voyage tasks to stress-test the network are helping us create a truly robust Layer 2 network. We are back to welcome you to another week of exciting activities. This week is Social and Entertainment Week, and we have curated a lineup of 19 partners who are at the forefront of shaping the social and entertainment landscape of web3.

Week 7 Details: Social and Entertainment Week

Our partners for this week’s excitement, creativity, and boundless possibilities are ENS, Lineaster, IDriss, SnapshotX, PatchWallet, Linea Domains, Atticc, Vitidiary, zkHoldem, Battlemon, Cataclysm, Ultiverse, MetaMerge, Readon, DegenReborn, Hooga Game, StationX, ASMatch, and Meeet. Engage with these protocols and decentralized applications to explore new horizons in gaming and social experiences within the web3 ecosystem.

Some of the tasks this week will include registering an ENS domain, minting your Moonlight NFT on Linea testnet, and surviving for at least three minutes in endless mode and mint token in Cataclysm Game.

This week’s  activities will run from June 14th, 2023, 9 am EST to June 19th, 2023, 11:59 pm EST. You will have an additional 24 hours to claim points on the completed activity as long as it is performed by the June 19th deadline. All eligible addresses will be updated daily, every 24 hours. If you’re seeing “You are NOT eligible” be sure to check back after addresses have been updated.

We have another important update for you all. To ascertain and prioritize genuine user engagement during the Linea Voyage and weed out bots, we have introduced tasks that allow participants to prove their humanity.

Linea Proof of Humanity: I’m a First-Class Linea Citizen

The goal of the Linea Voyage is to stress-test the network. Bots and sybils actually further that objective of ours as they stress the network and will help us be prepared for our eventual mainnet launch. However, these bots become a problem when they hinder human participation and consume all the resources on the network.

In an effort to combat this bot activity, Linea has partnered with Gitcoin Passport, Galxe Passport, and Guild.xyz to create a fair and authentic community experience. To differentiate between humans and bots, and create a strong disincentive to run bots or sybils, we've implemented a unique system that rewards users with recognized credentials.

By performing this task, users that will prove they are human will receive 2,500 points. This will ensure that real users are able to secure a place at the forefront of the leaderboard in the Voyage.

The objective of instating Proof of Humanity tasks is to reward human participation for genuine engagement, and to disincentivize bots and sybils. It is not to censor any activity. Our attempt to push bots to the bottom of the leaderboard will ensure that the time and resources spent on building and operating bots in the Voyage is not justified.

The Proof of Humanity campaign will continue until the Linea Voyage concludes. We want to highlight that participants can choose the credential – Gitcoin Passport, Galaxy Passport, or a Guild pin – they prefer for proving their humanity, and there are no specific requirements in this regard.

Users who already possess a Gitcoin Passport or a Galxe Passport linked to the address they are using for the Voyage on Galxe, or those who have signed up as Linea community members on guild.xyz, don't need to take any further steps. They can simply utilize their existing passport for this campaign.

We encourage all our users to actively participate in this campaign and take advantage of the additional points they can earn by obtaining a valid human verification. Together, we can forge a path that celebrates human authenticity and diminishes the impact of automated bots. This underscores Linea’s aim to be a human centric scalability Layer on top of Ethereum.

PLEASE NOTE: we have seen some users reporting that they have been requested to pay money/cryptoassets in order to receive one of the passports mentioned above. Always remember that we will NEVER ask you for any money or fund, and will NEVER message you first. Please be mindful of scammers.
