We are now coming to you from a post-Linea Entertainment Festival world. The month-long social and gaming extravaganza ended on October 10, 2023 and gave us many exciting moments to recount.

Apart from being a great collaborative effort between DeGame, Particle Network, MyShell, P12, and Linea, the festival also saw 30 innovative web3 gaming projects come together to create an immersive experience for our community.

The Festival saw an overwhelming participation from over 850,000 users, across 4.9M quests. During the sub-campaign with P12, participants created over 14,000 user-generated game content, memes, fan art, and other creations with the P12 Editor, an all-inclusive metaverse editor that was released for the first time as part of the Linea Entertainment Festival.

More importantly, we saw more than 110,000 users register for Verax, an innovative attestation primitive that Consensys is developing with other partners including Clique, Karma3 Labs, Aspecta, PADO Labs, and Reclaim Protocol. Verax is a shared on-chain attestation registry that can be used by any number of different decentralized applications (dapps) and protocols as a shared “data lake” of public data.

MyShell’s sub-campaign, the Linea Season, recorded 8793 on-chain transactions, and onboarded more than 700 Linea users. Users created over 5000 active chatbots as part of the Festival. You can try some of these chatbots here.

One of the top performing decentralized applications (dapps) on the Linea network during the Festival was ReadOn. It is a web3 content aggregator that officially launched during the Linea Entertainment Festival. To know more about their performance during the Festival, read here.

We want to take a moment to thank our community for their continued participation in the various quests and tasks that we, together with our partners, bring to you. While being a great opportunity for you to explore the Linea ecosystem, each task is also an occasion for us to listen to feedback from you to make Linea a better layer 2 network.

Congratulations to the Winners!

As you all know, the player that ended the quest as top of the Linea Entertainment Festival leaderboard received a Linea Gas Pass, and the Top Gamer role in Discord. The players that finished between the second position and the 60th position were awarded a chance to be a part of the Linea Gas Pass raffle, the results of which can be found here. Linea partnered with Unitap to ensure an equitable and transparent on-chain solution for determining the 2nd to 60th place winners. Unitap is an on-boarding tool for networks and communities. It helps new users seamlessly interact with different dapps, DAOs, and web3 applications by simplifying the process of receiving and distributing gas and tokens.

Please note that the players who secured the number 1 spot in multiple communities earned multiple Gas Passes, while players ranking 2-60 in multiple communities gained additional raffle entries for a higher chance to win.

Prize Tap, one of the four features within Unitap, helps create raffles with customizable qualifications. To determine raffle winners, Prize Tap uses Chainlink VRF (Verifiable Random Function) to generate random numbers and then select winners based on these numbers. The combined data from Chainlink VRF, enrollment order, and individual participant weights ensures the raffle is fair.

To confirm if you were one of the winners, just log in to your digital wallet that you used to participate in the Festival. Winners will also be able to trade their Linea Gas Pass on AlienSwap, an NFT marketplace and aggregator built on Ethereum. To know more about how to trade your Gas Pass, check out this guide.

Prepare for the Next Linea Adventure

Here at Linea, we are always thinking of new ways for our community to engage with the L2 ecosystem in a fun, yet safe manner. We are planning another engaging and immersive experience for you all that will take on a journey to explore one of the most fundamental aspects of web3, Decentralised Finance (DeFi).

The Linea Voyage: DeFi will also be the first voyage where we will deploy the Linea Voyage XP program. Voyage XPs are non-transferrable, soul-bound tokens (SBTs) that will recognize each community member’s contribution to the growth of the ecosystem. It is important to note here that Voyage XPs do not have any monetary value. They are simply a measure of contribution to building Linea into a robust and secure L2 network.
